technology and learning connections, a part of Florida's multi-tiered system of supports.
What is the relationship between accommodations & accessible instructional materials? How are they the same? How are they different? Is one a subset of the other?

Accessible Instructional Materials: With MTSS students are entitled to access to accessible instructional materials all day, every day

Accommodations: it is the funneling action to provide the path to the accessible instructional materials

What is it that the student is unable to do to access the material?

Accommodations: A student may need other accommodations in addition to accessible instructional materials. For example, if the audio format is being used, a quiet place for reading may be needed. Additionally, in some instances, other accommodations, such as providing oral responses to tests or assignments may be needed.

In the perfect world, the need for accommodations may not be needed to the UDL principles!!
